Settling in Berlin in 1997, graphic designer Jianping He quickly established himself as one a number of Chinese artists creating international reputations for themselves. Blending ancient Chinese aesthetics with a keen eye for contemporary satire, He’s art was soon in wide demand for posters, book covers and all manner of graphic design. “Flashback,” He’s first exhibition in Japan, offers a look back at 15 years of this award-winning young designer’s career. Ggg Books-101 Jianping He is published in tandem with the show.
