Kurara Chibana, 27, who was first runner-up in the 2006 Miss Universe, will get a chance to brush up her French skills when she co-hosts Terebi de Furansugo, one of NHK’s new language programs that starts this spring. Chibana, who speaks fluent English, spent nine months in France during her university days, but said she had forgotten most of what she learned, so she’d like to start from scratch along with viewers. The program will air at midnight on Wednesdays starting March 31.
