The seventh LBFF comes to Tokyo and Yokohama with 15 new releases. Among the films sure to pique interest is Revolucion, an omnibus meditation by ten Mexican directors on the subject of the country’s 1910 revolution. Featuring contributions by the likes of Diego Luna—who will travel to Tokyo for the festival—the film was widely praised when it premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June. Also of note is Francis Ford Coppola’s Tetro, set in Buenos Aires and featuring perennial Japan favorite Vincent Gallo, and Oliver Stone’s controversial road trip documentary South of the Border.
