Expat DJ and producer Dave Twomey touched many people before his death from cancer this year. Now some of his friends come together to celebrate his life and works in an event produced by NPO Parties 4 Peace. “Light” will see a number of Twomey’s fellow Tokyo dance music aficionados perform, including Conoley Ospovat, Naoki Serizawa, Bob Rogue and Mel Bruce. Proceeds benefit the Twomey Scholarship Fund, which will provide underprivileged youth with musical and artistic experiences through the Music & Art Peace Academy, a group that invites aspiring young creators to participate in global voyages onboard the NGO Peace Boat, where they receive hands-on learning opportunities with professional artists.
