Take Sublime, the Bad Brains, White Zombie and Smash Mouth. Mix them together and add a dash of Fishbone. Whaddaya got? Long Beach Rehab, the new “hardcore reggae” supergroup due into Japan at the end of the month. Created by bassist Qball from tribute band The Sublime, singer Israel Joseph-I from the Bad Brains and drummer Ivan De Prume from White Zombie at the beginning of 2011, the band soon encompassed guitarist Greag Camp from Smash Mouth and sometimes singer Angelo Moore from Fishbone. An album is reportedly in the works but the band will also play back catalog numbers from Sublime and Bad Brains.
Various venues, Oct 28-Nov 2 (listing).
