After devoting a good portion of 2010 to dubstep, Drum & Bass Sessions returns to the fold with a string of visits by big-name d’n’b pioneers. First up is Good Looking Records founder LTJ Bukem, who appears at Unit with longtime companion MC Conrad and young blood Danny Wheeler. Bukem emerged out of the early-’90s UK rave scene and went on to start pivotal drum’n’bass night Speed, while also pushing the genre into the mainstream with his Progression Sessions albums, one of which was recorded at the old Liquidroom in Kabukicho. Fellow pioneers Zinc and Goldie will be following him to Tokyo later in the spring.
