Something called the “Bright Eyes” promotion committee ran an internet poll in August, asking 500 men and women in their 20s and 30s which celebs have the best peepers. Twenty-one-year-old actress Meisa Kuroki (Dance Subaru – pictured) came out on top, followed by actress-singer Kou Shibasaki (Shaolin Girl), 27, and Gokusen star Yukie Nakama, 29. All three winners have what the committee has defined as the “new standard of beautiful eyes”: a “golden” pupil ratio of 1:2:1. The poll also asked, “What specific trait makes eyes stand out?” The top answer? “Deep black irises.”
