The heart of Tokyo’s shitamachi will be bursting with holiday cheer during the the Nippori Farmers Market holiday extravaganza. For three days, the plaza will overflow with live music, dance performances, a “wine garden” (not surprisingly, like a beer garden only with wine) featuring a selection of German wines, and twenty vendors offering an excellent array of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as jams, handmade candles, delightful candies, and a selection of other handmade gifts, treats, and decorations. And like any good holiday market, Santa Claus will be making an appearance on Sunday afternoon at 3pm to meet, greet and take careful note of holiday wishes. Bundle up and head on down!

Nippori Christmas Market runs Saturday, December 21 through Monday, December 23, 10am-5pm Nearest station: Nippori
