Via the company’s website, passionate pet owners can custom-order linen stoles and organic cotton lap blankets adorned with the fur of their beloved pooch—or, to coin a term from Shin’s, anata no paatonaa. Parts of the website are even written from the perspective of a dog who has been longing to give you, his sukina goshujinsama (dear master), the precious gift of portable pet dander. You supply the fur—more than 2.5cm, please—and pick from a variety of colors and styles. Shin’s will do the rest. Prices start at ¥28,000.
