A deranged TV director devises an online, pay-per-view, super-snuff reality show that places ten badass death-row inmates from central casting (plus Vinnie Jones) on a camera-strewn island, with the last one standing winning freedom. (Didn’t Takeshi do this in 2000’s equally abhorrent Battle Royale?) Plenty of pummeling, puncturing, woman-beating and general mayhem ensues, as wrongly convicted ex-CIA/army hero (wrestler Steve Austin, who has potential) tries to deal out some comeuppance to the dastardly director. It is beyond hypocritical when this sadistic torture-fest pauses to condemn movie violence.
