Venezuelan artist Beatriz Inglessis presents the most recent results of her doctoral studies in Japanese woodblock prints at Tokyo University of the Arts. Inglessis is particularly interested in the intersection of art and science, and in her new show explores humans’ profound need to understand our origins. “The Primal Scene” refers in psychoanalysis to a child witnessing the sex act between his parents and relating it to his or her own creation.
