Another Performing Arts Meeting offering comes in the form of an unorthodox stage piece in an as-yet-to-be named location by a director who works by day as a psychiatrist. The Room, Nobody Knows is the latest creation at Hakobune, the wagekidan Penino company’s atelier, in an apartment in a condominium building. Director, 36-year-old Kuro Tanino, creates freewheeling forms of expression based on an abstract image of a “garden.” Previous works like Frustrating Picture Book for Adults (2008) have been well received in Europe.
Hakobune (access info provided with reservation), Feb 10-26 (listing).
