How did the hundred or so artists invited to Tokyo last year respond to the events of 3/11? Each year, city-sponsored contemporary art institute Tokyo Wonder Site presents the results of creatives invited to take part in its Creator-in-Residence program. With 3/11 in the background, “Tokyo Story 2012” promises to be particularly meaningful. Among the artists are a number from nearby Asian countries such as 8gg from China and Khvay Samnang from Cambodia. Europe, the Middle East and Japan are also represented.
