We know it’s unfair to judge a film that hasn’t even been released yet, but based on precedent, we’re at least fairly confident that the upcoming movie adaptation of video game Tekken will be… well, utter rubbish. On the plus side, it’s going to feature some good watches. Yup: Heihachi and Kazuya will be seen sporting timepieces from Tokyoflash, including this mindboggling little number. The Kisai Keisan must be the first watch we’ve seen that requires basic mathematical ability: the numbers are displayed in vertical columns that must be added up to get the correct time and date. It’s totally impractical, sure, but in an era where cellphones have made the wristwatch seem like an anachronism, you might as well have some fun with it.

Kisai Keisan watch, ¥21,000. Available from www.tokyoflash.com
