The Container presents the UK video provocateur

Expat Canadian curator Shai Ohayon’s latest offbeat “Container” exhibition presents the art of UK video provocateur Ami Clarke. Clarke’s interest is in how capitalism has transformed every waking moment into a financial transaction. She explores this meme in two video installations as well as a book to be published during the exhibition’s run. The book features an imagined exchange with Wikileaks’ Julian Assange, who has criticized the way in which vested powers can easily “un-publish” or delete uncomfortable material online, ironically leaving old-fashioned print as the more truthful medium.
The Container (inside Bross hair salon), until Apr 9 (listing).
