French gourmet brand Fauchon is paying a full-on homage to Japan this year, with its signature eclairs taking the form of The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai, the striped pattern of Ginza’s kabuki theater and most notably, just in time for Children’s Day, the koinobori eclair comes in the form of the carp streamers hung up on May 5 to express hope that children will grow up healthy and strong. The fishy-looking treats (¥540) come in two colors (blue and pink) and the inside custard fillings are color-coordinated to match—blueberry and strawberry. Exclusive to Takashimaya Yokohama, Shinjuku and Nihonbashi.
