A delightful and star-studded if somewhat formulaic doc about the man they call the “King of the Bs” for his legendary output of cheap but fun horror and exploitation flicks over a six-decade producing and directing career that continues to this day. Roger Corman couldn’t stand being told what to do, and so worked outside the studio system, in the process launching the careers of such luminaries as Jack Nicholson, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and James Cameron. The soft-spoken octogenarian received a lifetime achievement Oscar last year for his massive influence on cinema development.
