Interior Visions : From Bonnard to Tillmans and Contemporary Artists

Since the pandemic, our lifestyle has significantly changed. In such situation where our movements are restricted, we have been spending the majority of our time in a space called “room”. Though our “room” is a safe and comfortable space, it is synonymous with being isolated from the outside world. However, the relationship with our close friends and families that was cultivated in the enclosed space is indispensable not only for surviving every day life, but also for adding color to our rather lackluster lives.

In this exhibition, we will be looking at artists from the 19th century up till the present, who all have a unique way of expressing “rooms”.

The diverse and colorful “rooms” that were created by these unique artists will most definitely resonate with people who were quietly transformed during the stay at home experience.
