John Sa Trinxa has been a DJ for over 25 years on the southernmost beach of Ibiza, the world’s number one party island.

He has pursued his own style with Balearic music, connecting all genres of music without borders, from classics to rock, reggae, hip-hop, house, techno, jazz, funk, ethnic music and more.

His DJing is like that of an architect who can create a space, incorporating everything into his expression, such as temperature, humidity, and people’s emotions.

In the summer of 2021, a documentary film “Born Balearic” directed by Lily Linne was released, depicting John Sa Trinxa’s free-spirited lifestyle with breathtaking visuals and Balearic music, and setting an unprecedented long run record for indie films.

As a result of the film, John Sa Trinxa’s presence became known in Japan’s music-loving community, and he embarked on his first Japan tour last summer. All seven locations, including Tokyo, Kanagawa, Kyoto, Sendai, and Okinawa, were packed with fans, and the tour was a huge success.

In 2023, he will power up his tour and visit 11 unique venues with a sea breeze in Tokyo, Shonan, Chiba, Hima Island in Aichi Prefecture, Kyoto, Osaka, Ishikawa, Fukuoka, and Okinawa. (Note: The promotional visual lists nine locations, but there are two additional performances for 11 shows).

The legendary DJ from Ibiza, who currently tours Hong Kong, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany, will return to Japan with his Happy Vibes.

The tour is sponsored by ZOOM, a creator-oriented audio equipment maker that promotes “WE’RE FOR CREATORS.” The film, “Born Balearic” was recorded using ZOOM’s equipment. The director traveled to Ibiza, New York, and Bali using ZOOM’s H4n handy recorder. ZOOM supports all creators and will entertain audiences across Japan during this tour.
