Haus von Schwarz celebrates emerging performers, veteran queens, and community fundraising at Fresh Meat 14
Since launching in 2022, Fresh Meat has raised more than ¥1.2 million for humanitarian causes, including refugee relief, trans housing support, and food and education programs for children at risk. The recurring charity drag show returns for its 14th edition, continuing its mission of supporting performers and community projects.
Created by the Haus von Schwarz drag collective, Fresh Meat provides a stage for a wide range of artists. The lineup brings together new performers finding their voice, experienced entertainers, glamorous acts, and darker horror-inspired performances. Expect dramatic looks, bold characters, and enough makeup to make a cosmetics counter feel underdressed.
This also marks the final event for founder and co-organiser Le Horla, also known as journalist Kat Joplin. Joplin will move to London two days after the show, making this edition a farewell appearance after years of helping build the event’s creative community.
The upcoming beneficiary is NamNam Space, which will receive support from the event’s fundraising efforts. Through its combination of performance and charity, Fresh Meat continues to give artists a place to experiment while directing proceeds toward causes that need support.
