Hachioji Ginkgo Festival—Ichou Festa

Nov 21, 2026 at 9:00am ~ Nov 22, 2026 at 4:00pm

The 47th Hachioji Ginkgo Festival takes place on November 21 and 22, along Koshu Kaido (an old Edo-period highway) and around Ryonan Park in Hachioji. The annual event celebrates the road’s ginkgo trees, which mark 100 years since their planting this year.

The program includes food stalls, local specialty markets, parades and traditional performances. There’s also the Sekisho Orienteering event, where participants follow a route of historical checkpoints along the old highway.

For more information about the festival’s events and activities, visit the official Hachioji Ginkgo Festival website.
