Tokyo Midtown Hibiya’s annual summer event, HIBIYA MID SUMMER 2026, brings together seasonal food, live music, family-friendly activities, local ice cream, and traditional summer customs in the heart of Tokyo.

HIBIYA SUMMER DINER returns with an outdoor dining space serving seasonal food and drinks throughout the summer, accompanied by free live jazz performances on select Friday evenings.

Opening time: June 26 – August 23 ; 5:00pm – 10:00pm (weekdays) ; 1:00pm – 10:00 pm (weekends/public holidays)

During the Obon holiday, children can join upcycling workshops that introduce sustainability through hands-on crafts.

Workshops: August 14 – 16, 12:00pm – 5:00pm(tentative).

Also joining the event is Aipaku TOKYO, a limited-time ice cream specialty shop featuring local ice creams and craft soft serve from across Japan.

From July 24 to August 31, Hibiya’s annual Water Sprinkling Month (uchimizu) returns, with 18 venues across the district taking part in the traditional practice of sprinkling water on the streets to help cool the area during summer evenings.
