Hungarian Wine Dinner

Feb 04, 2023 at 6:00pm ~ Feb 04, 2023 at 9:30pm

About 100 years ago, Hungary was one of the biggest wine producers in Europe. Every European royal court clinked glasses filled with the famous gold Tokaji wine, while other fine Hungarian whites and reds were enjoyed throughout Europe!

Tokyo Wine Events have teamed up with Hungarian Wine, an importer specializing in Hungarian wine only

Let’s enjoy a very good selection of food and Hungarian wine for an exciting experience under the guidance of a wine expert

Our Premium venue: The World Renowned Hilton Shinjuku
A 5 stars luxury hotel tower over the heart of Shinjuku.

Menu & Hungarian Wine selection

The Aperitif:

Vylyan Kszi ( Sparkling Rosé wine), 2018, 100% Pinot Noir

Playful, ethereal, lively, intensive, and elegant!

With Bread and Butter

The Amuse: King crab, salpicon and cold emulsion

Hungarian wine: Lezser White, Gunzer, 2021, Chardonnay 70%, Sauvignon Blanc 30%

A worthy example of this Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc marriage perfectly exemplifies the notion that sometimes “opposites attract”!

The Appetizer: Hússaláta, Macedonian cut fresh vegetables, soft-boiled quail eggs & shaved veal

Hungarian wine: Furmint Nagyszolo 2016, Tokaj Hétszőlő, 100% Furmit grape

Very intense, fruity with a beautiful nose. Elegant acidity and minerality.

The Main: Marhapörkölt, Beef Stew with crispy onion and egg noodle

Hungarian wine: Egri Bikaver Classicus, Perreny, 2017

Kekfrankos 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Cabernet Franc 20%, Merlot 20%

Eger’s most famous wine: a well-bodied red dry wine, with the smell of fruits and spices. Perfect harmony with beef

The Hungarian Dessert: Somlói galuska, Walnut and chocolate sponge “ Trifle ”
with malaga ice cream

Hungarian wine: Aszu 5 puttonyos Tokaji Hetszolo, 2000, 100% Furmit

This is the finest sweet wine with high concentration, full body, roundness, and elegance. Perfect for dessert!
