Ian Pace, an internationally renowned pianist and Professor at the University of London, will hold a series of lectures and concerts in Japan. As part of this tour, he will be giving two recitals in Tokyo on June 26 & 27, performing a wide range of pieces from 19th-century European classical works to 21st-century new music by Japanese composers. Highlights of the concert will be the monumental Beethoven Symphony No. 7, Boulez Piano Sonata No. 2, and works by Debussy, Mompou, Ferneyhough and Tsuda.
