Six visual artists and four music acts come together for an evening of art and sound in Asagaya.
Gamuso Asagaya hosts an art and music event in Tokyo featuring work from six artists and a four-act music lineup.
The evening brings Adam Garwood, chompchomp, mymee, Craig Chivers, Iain Lonsdale and QUAZZ to the venue. Music comes from Young Digger, Craig Chivers, Koji and Adam3.
Art at Gamuso Asagaya
The exhibition features work from artists connected to Tokyo’s independent creative scene.
Adam Garwood joins chompchomp, mymee, Craig Chivers, Iain Lonsdale and QUAZZ for the group display. The lineup brings several artistic approaches together inside Gamuso’s intimate Asagaya space.
Chivers is a Canadian painter, sculptor, musician and educator based in Tokyo. He runs Ebisu Atelier d’Art, where he teaches drawing, painting and sculpture.
Music Throughout the Evening
The art exhibition is paired with music from Young Digger, Craig Chivers, Koji and Adam3.
Rather than separating the gallery and music programs, both form part of the same evening. Guests can move through the displayed artwork while following the night’s music lineup.
Art and Music at Gamuso
Gamuso has hosted art exhibitions, live performances and independent music events in Asagaya for years. Its compact setting puts the artwork, performers and audience in the same space.
The venue is located at 2-12-5 Asagayakita, Suginami-ku, near JR Asagaya Station.
