Tokyo’s rock-for-climate series Too Hot to Be Cool teams up with UK feminist nonprofit LOUD WOMEN on November 14 for the first LOUD WOMEN Fest held in Asia.

LOUD WOMEN has staged festivals for women-led and non-binary-led bands across the UK, Europe and North America since 2015, while Too Hot to Be Cool has used live shows to fund youth-led environmental groups in Southeast Asia since April 2024.

Ten punk and alternative acts from Japan, South Korea, the US, the UK and Ireland play Shinjuku MARZ over seven hours. The lineup includes Korean “death punk disco” outfit 18Fevers, Tokyo garage punk veterans Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass, THE JUNGLES!!!, Mikabomb and Irish artist Sister Ghost. All ticket proceeds go to WildAct Vietnam, a women-founded conservation group in Hanoi, to support its program for women working in the field.

See the event page for the full lineup and tickets.
