Lively Taiko Drumming Brings the Summer Festival to Life

Aug 09, 2026 at 10:00am ~ Aug 09, 2026 at 6:00pm

Students from the British School in Tokyo, the international school based within Azabudai Hills, will take over the square this summer with a performance of taiko (traditional Japanese drums). Expect a wall of sound as the students play together, hearts and sticks in sync, filling Central Plaza Lawn Area with rhythm as evening falls.

The performance takes place on Sunday, August 9th, in the early evening at Azabudai Hills Central Plaza Lawn Area — though it’ll be called off if rain moves in.
