Taiwanese paintings, tea, fantuan and Indigenous crafts come to Kagurazaka from Aug. 28–31.

Looking for a Taiwan art exhibition in Tokyo this August? “Tiger Tiger Taiwan” runs at Frasco Gallery from Aug. 28–31, 2026.

The 4-day event brings Taiwanese painting, tea, food, crafts and games to Kagurazaka. It focuses on makers and products discovered through years of travel across Taiwan.

Taiwanese Artists Exhibiting in Tokyo

Two Taiwan-based artists will present their paintings in Japan for the first time. One artist is expected to attend the exhibition in person.

The exhibition is organized by writer and walking journalist Michikusa Okutani. Okutani has explored Taiwan since 2010 and published 3 walking guides. This is his fifth cultural exchange exhibition involving Taiwan and Japan.

Taiwanese Tea, Fantuan and Indigenous Crafts

HAPPYLEMON will present Taiwanese tea and teaware. Founded in 2006, the Taiwanese drink brand now operates more than 800 stores worldwide.

Vendor 天天飽 will serve fantuan (Taiwanese sticky rice rolls). 想創 Taiwan will introduce Taiwan’s Indigenous peoples through crafts and cultural goods.

The program also includes a night-market card game session with Taiwanese participants. Saturday and Sunday events will continue after 6pm.
