Hailed as ‘music’s true rebels’ and ‘a grassroots voice of rebellion’, Tinariwen’s exceptional talent has earned them praise from artists like Robert Plant, Brian Eno, Thom Yorke, and Jack White.

In 2012, their album “Tassili” won the Grammy Award for Best World Music, and they have been nominated for this title three times. Their universal popularity has also grown since their unforgettable performances during the 2010 FIFA World Cup and a traveling festival at the MET auditorium in New York in 2017.
