Tokyo Night Market Lights Up Yoyogi Park

May 22, 2026 at 4:00pm ~ May 25, 2026 at 10:00pm

Tokyo Night Market takes over Yoyogi Park with rows of food stalls, pop-up shops and live performances. The event draws inspiration from night markets across Asia, combining street food with music and casual shopping. The open layout makes it easy to move between stalls and stages.

Food is the main focus. Vendors serve a mix of local and international dishes, including grilled skewers, noodles and desserts. Portions are often small, which allows visitors to try several options in one visit. Lines form quickly at popular stalls, especially after sunset.

Live music and DJ sets run throughout the evening, adding to the atmosphere. Small stages host a rotating lineup of performers, while other areas feature street-style entertainment. Lighting becomes more prominent after dark, shifting the mood as the night progresses.

The busiest period is between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Arriving earlier offers shorter lines and more space to explore. Later hours feel more crowded but more energetic. Weekends attract the largest turnout, so expect slower movement through walkways.

Seating is limited, with many visitors eating on the grass or standing near stalls. Bringing a picnic mat helps. Cash is useful, as not all vendors accept cards. Staying aware of your surroundings is important during peak hours.
