Perennial favorite of Japanese fans, Ginger of UK retro-rock outfit The Wildhearts looks to return the favors with a one-off earthquake charity gig at Koenji live house High. While not officially disbanding the Wildhearts, Ginger (nee David Wallis) has been putting a suspicious amount of energy into his solo career of late, releasing the album 10 last fall and gigging rather relentlessly under names like SilverGinger 5 and Ginger & The Sonic Circus. In a statement to promoter Creativeman, Ginger expressed full confidence in Japan’s recovery and said he was looking forward to bringing his acoustic show to the country.Apr 24, 6pm, ¥5,500.
