In this amateurish, ugly bit of unwatchable, neo-grindhouse hyper-violence, a new hobo in town (Rutger Hauer, what were you thinking?) impulsively picks up a shotgun to thwart a pawnshop robbery and finds himself a vigilante hero, angering the town’s sadistic, frothing-at-the-mouth, we-run-this-town, so-overacted-they-aren’t-even-scary villains. They launch an all-out, kill-the-bums counterattack that makes the Saw movies look like Bambi. Sound good? Get some help. I walked out halfway through, just after the flame-thrower torching of a school bus full of kids. Life’s too short, and my eyeballs were bleeding.
