A slew of Japan’s coolest acts take over ten Shibuya stages for the one-night KaikooPopwave Festival. The event is the brainchild of Popgroup, which represents progressive-minded artists like alternative hip-hop turntablist, DJ Baku (pictured). In addition to the beat-oriented Popgroup acts like Baku, Skyfish and Arakoi, the Kaikoo bill runs from the noise-house of the Boredoms’ Yamataka Eye in his DJ incarnation to the indie rock of Yolz in the Sky and Qomolangma Tomato.

O-East and other venues, Nov 19 (listing).
