Scottish DJ P.O.L. Style (above, center) was a key mover on Glasgow’s mutant hip-hop/electro scene before moving to Japan a few years ago. After launching a Tokyo edition of Numbers, the influential club night which he’d helped start back home, he’s now taking things in an even more eclectic direction with a boozy early-hours event at Module. Laguna Bass finds DJs from England to Azerbaijan spinning a wide range of low-end sounds, running from hip-hop and house to dubstep and grime. Different guest DJs every month keep things fresh, and the party offers two hours of unlimited free tequila for the remarkable price of only ¥1,000.
