In 1998, the then-new Museum of Photography presented “Love’s Body: Rethinking Naked and Nude in Photography.” More than a decade later, the museum again looks at representations of the body, this time in the light of AIDS and its overwhelming impact on art since the ’80s. Some of the images on show, by artists such as New York-based Cuban Felix Gonzalez-Torres, reflect the photographers’ own battles with AIDS and the social stigma they suffer.
