Shakespeare’s comedy is the offering in the latest Japan tour by the Oxford University Dramatic Society. OUDS’ fresh faces and the Queen’s English have proven irresistible to Japan, which first hosted the company in 1988—and its bona fides as a hotbed of dramatic talent are attested to by having produced the likes of Judy Dench and Hugh Grant. Much Ado About Nothing follows two pairs of lovers, one serious and one glib and conniving, and the comedic reversals that befall them.
