When New Super Mario Bros hits the Wii shelves at your local gamery this fall, it will include a feature that’s anathema to serious players, in the form of an official cheat mode.
Nintendo has unveiled the sneaky feature because it’s set on attracting what it calls “casual gamers” to its various platforms and wants to keep ’em happy when they get there.
So, instead of abandoning a game when it gets tough, the newcomers are now welcome to choose a menu option and skip to the end of the section. ’Twere never like this when I were young, lad.
