Canadian circus juggernaut Cirque du Soleil may have shuttered its $100-million purpose-built theater at Tokyo Disneyland, but it hasn’t given up on Japan. Founder Guy Laliberte and his merry band of acrobats’ latest show is a take on the teeming, high-energy insect world, and it’s at a big top in Odaiba through mid-May. Expect unconventional renderings of conventional circus routines like the flying trapeze, as well as new segments tying into the insects theme, such as “crickets” on a “power track” and foot juggling.
