Groove to the sounds of Oceania

Groove to the sounds of Oceania at one of the more recent entrants to the summer festival circuit. Slated for the Yokohama seaside, PacificRoots features two groups from New Zealand alongside a herd of domestic acts. Awa and Sons of Zion are sweet-voiced Maori artists that perform in, respectively, contemporary R&B and reggae styles. They’ll be right at home among Japanese groups like reggae outfit Bagdad Cafe The Trench Town. DJ sets, live painting and food stalls complete the picture of an ideal midsummer mellow-out.
