Jeez, where to start? A half-American salaryman (Eric Bossick) whose father was a biochemist begins to turn into a cheesy anti-flesh collection of lethal firearms when he gets angry. And he gets really angry when someone purposefully and repeatedly drives a car over his young son. Shinya Tsukamoto’s third telling (1989 and 1992) of his half-man-half-machine story has this time been done in English in a blatant attempt to export his cult to international audiences. This means I had to watch it. You don’t. To put it bluntly, Shinya, you may have lucked into being a cult fave, but you ain’t no Kafka.
