Children in the downtrodden, decomposing mining town of Cold Rock have been mysteriously disappearing for years, it seems, amid conspiratorial whispers of a spectral tall man who snatches them in the dead of mostly dark and stormy nights. Single mother and nurse Jessica Biel, the town’s only medical practitioner, keeps a close eye on her young son, but one D&S night he, too, is taken. What’s happening? Why? Anything else would be a spoiler. This little psycho-socio-drama is a little out there, but original and effective, and Biel’s best work to date. You will not know where this is going.
