When Love Comes.
Tokyo’s best small film festival—perhaps its best, period—is back with a particularly strong line-up. At the 11th edition, check out this year’s Palme D’Or winner, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, and the documentary I Wish I Knew by leading Chinese filmmaker Jia Zhangke. Jang Cheol-Soo’s debut, Bedevilled, garnered strong reviews when it played during Cannes International Critics’ Week, while well-known Taiwanese director Chang Tso Chi returns with When Love Comes (pictured), an intense drama about a young woman’s conflicted relationships.
