Last weekend thousands of young women (and some men) from all over the country gathered at Yoyogi National Stadium for the biggest fashion spectacular of the year—Tokyo Girls Collection Spring/Summer 2013.
The extravaganza featured live performances by Namie Amuro, M-flo feat. Ms.Oona, Ai and more, as well as comedian Kintaro, famed for her impersonation of former AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda.
This season’s main themes: Resort style, pastels and floral (both print and as accessories) are predominant, as well as and black, white and denim combinations. There were a few maxi dresses spotted on the runway, here’s hoping they make a proper comeback this year.
