Luck be damned, Shibuya superclub Womb is celebrating its 13th anniversary in style. The “carnival season” theme is a tribute to carnivals worldwide and will utilize the flavors and technology of 2013 to offer a “Carnival of Sound and Light.” On the night of the event, Womb’s lighting and stage designers will debut a booth specially designed around the carnival concept that will be a feature of Womb’s dancefloor throughout 2013. The club’s stable of resident DJ/producers will be on hand to soundtrack the occasion, including electro pop producer Shinichi Osawa and breakbeats veteran DJ Aki.
