Last year, leading manga publishers boycotting the government-led Tokyo Anime Fair banded together to host their own event—until the quake forced its cancelation. Bringing together publishers incensed by Tokyo Governor Shintaro Ishihara’s controversial anime and manga law, ACE is backed by groups like Kadokawa and Animate and will feature two stages for “anisongs” performances and a special cosplay space. Fans unable to make the sprawling affair in Chiba can enjoy a live streaming feed courtesy of Nico Nico Douga.
