A highlight from last year’s beer-garden season was the piazza-style bar in Roppongi Hills plaza, just by the Toho Cinemas entrance. Good thing, then, that Roppongi Hills Beer Bar is back this year. You’ll have no trouble finding seating space at the numerous tables once you’ve bought your mojito (from ¥1,000), Ichiban Shibori frozen draft (¥800), frozen dessert drinks (¥600), or standard nama (¥600). Snackage includes smoked turkey leg (¥500), taco plate (¥800) and other bits ’n’ bobs. Periodic live gigs will cover jazz, flamenco, and such, and there’s a covered area in case of rain.
