Next up in the Leningrad classical music establishment’s annual holiday season Japan tour is the Leningrad State Orchestra, which presents a night of Christmas standards at the glistening Tokyo International Forum. Under the baton of Ko Matsushita, the orchestra will be joined by the Metropolitan Chorus of Tokyo and soloists including soprano Marina Tregubovitch in interpreting selections ranging from Handel’s Messiah to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Schubert’s Ave Maria.
