Arakawa River Clean Up

Join us to help clean up the Arakawa River and participate in making a difference.

David and Miki Howenstein will be leading this event and please note that some of the times will be morning starts due to high tides in those afternoons.

The times will adjusted according to the tides so that we can clean when the water is out.

Event: Arakawa River Clean Up (FUNABORI)
Station: Funabori, Shinjuku Line

Event: Arakawa River Clean Up (NISHI KASAI)
Station: Nishi Kasai (Tozai Line)
Dates:
May 5 (Sun.) 10:00-14:30
May 19 (Sun.) 10:00-14:30
Details: We will meet outside the only ticket gate of the stations bavoe and go to the river and pick up trash along the river banks for 3.5 to 4 hours with a break in the middle. If you come late, it will be about a 25-min. walk to our location on the island under the C2 highway

Event: Tamagawa River Clean Up (Kojimashinden)
Date: May 18 (Sat.)
Time: 13:00-17:30
Station: Kojimashinden (Daishi Line, a spur line from Kawasaki Station)
Details: We will meet outside the only ticket gate of Kojimashinden station at 13:00 and go to the river and pick up trash near the new Tamagawa Sky Bridge for about 3.5 to 4 hours with a break in the middle. If you come late, it will be about a 25-min. walk to our location. This event will not be cancelled in the case of rain (unless heavy winds or lightning).
