Feb 17, 2027 at 6:00pm ~ Feb 17, 2027 at 9:00pm

The British shoegaze band plays its 1991 debut, “Whirlpool,” in full to mark the record’s 35th anniversary. The Spotify O-East show is their first in Japan in about 17 years, with Osaka following the next night.

Formed in Reading in 1987, the group emerged from the early-1990s shoegaze scene alongside Ride, Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine.

“Whirlpool” remains their best-known LP. It includes the single “Pearl,” which features Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell on backing vocals. A second album, “Blood Music,” followed in 1993.
