Students at egaco, an illustration and manga school with branches across Japan, are showing their work at Shinjuku Marui Annex through the end of October.

The exhibition features pieces by learners ranging from third-graders to working adults, from first sketches to portfolios aimed at going pro.

Each piece is printed at A4 size and covers both digital and hand-drawn work, from practice drills done in class to original illustrations and manga pages. Seen together, they show how different people develop their own styles as they learn. Artist names are left off the displays for privacy, and admission is free.

See the egaco event page for more on the exhibition and the school.
